The Health Directorate within the European Commission's Directorate General for Research is organising the third workshop on molecular targets for cancer on 11 and 12 July in Bergen, Norway. The event is intended for scientists working on molecular targets in EU-funded and other projects, policymakers and industrial representatives. The aim is to discuss various aspects of translational research on cancer and put forward solutions that address valorisation and commercialisation of potentially innovative findings on molecular targets emanating from European research on cancer.

Currently, approximately 100 EU-funded translational cancer research projects are ongoing as part of the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes' (FP6 and FP7) Health thematic priority.
