The objective of this Symposium is to provide an understanding of Qatar's strategy, infrastructure and support for commercializing cancer and diabetes technologies, and to initiate proposals for such projects and ventures.

Over the two days, the Symposium will engage the participants in the following discussions:

• State-of-the-art in biotechnology for treating diseases;
• Commercially viable work in translational and clinical settings;
• Possibilities of setting up biotech companies and facilities in QSTP and QF;
